Terms & conditions
The contract between you and us when you buy from HomeDeal.
Last updated
These terms cover the sale of products on https://www.homedeal.co.uk by HomeDeal Ltd ("HomeDeal", "we", "us"). Placing an order means you accept them. They don't limit your statutory rights under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Who we are
HomeDeal Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (Companies House number TBD). Our VAT number is GB TBD. Registered office: Registered office address TBD.
You can reach us at hello@homedeal.co.uk or via our contact page.
2. Placing an order
- An order is an offer from you to buy from us at the listed price.
- The contract forms when we email you an order confirmation with a dispatch note — not when you click Place order.
- We may decline an order if stock is unavailable, the price was mispriced, or the delivery address is outside our served region. We refund in full if we decline.
3. Price and payment
- All prices are in GBP and include VAT at the rate applicable at time of sale.
- Delivery fees, if any, are shown on the checkout page before payment.
- Promotional prices include the lowest price from the previous 30 days, as required by the UK Omnibus Directive. You'll see this annotated on the product page.
- Payment is taken when the order is dispatched. For pre-orders, we take payment when stock is allocated to you.
4. Delivery
Standard UK delivery is 2-4 working days. Estimated delivery date is shown on the product page and order confirmation. Risk passes to you when the order is handed to the courier for delivery to your address. Title passes when payment has cleared in full.
5. Returns, refunds, and faulty goods
See our full returns policy. In summary:
- 30-day free return on unused items — the cost of return postage is yours unless the item was faulty, damaged, or mis-described.
- Faulty goods are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for up to 6 years — short-term right to reject within 30 days, repair or replacement within 6 months, proportionate remedy thereafter.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
6. Product descriptions and availability
We take reasonable care that product descriptions, images and prices are correct at time of publication. Colours may vary slightly from screen rendering. If we discover an error in a product listing after you order, we'll notify you and either honour the listed price (where reasonable) or cancel the order and refund in full.
Products are subject to availability. We may limit quantities per customer on promotional items to ensure fair access.
7. Accounts
- Creating an account is optional — you can check out as a guest.
- Keep your password confidential. You're responsible for all orders placed through your account.
- We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, abuses promotional codes, or is associated with fraudulent activity.
8. Intellectual property
HomeDeal, the HomeDeal logo, our product photography, site copy and buying guides are the property of HomeDeal Ltd (or licensed to us). You may view and share links to our pages; you may not reproduce or republish content without written consent.
Brand names and product images of third-party manufacturers remain the property of their respective owners.
9. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that can't be excluded by law.
- Subject to the above, our liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for the products in that order plus reasonable and foreseeable losses.
- We're not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control (courier disruption, severe weather, supplier insolvency) but we'll keep you informed and offer alternatives where possible.
10. Product safety
Tools, power equipment and chemical products carry safety warnings on the product page and in the packaging. Always read and follow them. Report product safety concerns to hello@homedeal.co.uk. Where a recall is issued, we'll contact affected customers using the email address on the order.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published at the time you placed the order. We'll post the Last updated date at the top of this page.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that can't be resolved directly is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from bringing a claim in a court local to their habitual residence, where mandatory consumer law allows.
13. Dispute resolution
Please contact us first — most disputes are resolved within a working day. If we can't resolve a dispute directly, UK consumers may refer the matter to the relevant CTSI-approved alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body or, for complaints about online transactions, make a formal complaint via Citizens Advice consumer helpline (UK).
